Welcome

The South Western Regional Drugs Task Force (SWRDTF) is a co-ordinating body established with a partnership approach mandate.

The function of the taskforce is to research, develop and implement, a coordinated, regionally-appropriate response to substance misuse. The taskforce was setup specifically to work with the communities of South and West Dublin, West Wicklow and Kildare, to significantly reduce the harm caused to individuals and society by the misuse of drugs.

We have a free confidential support service that supports young people who want help with their substance abuse. We work with young people and their families who live in the Kildare West Wicklow areas.

Abbey Regional Addiction Service

ARAS will work with drug users, their families and the community, using a community development approach to provide quality professional services which will empower people to make their own choices around their addiction or recovery and in supporting their decision wherever we can.
